Escaping Reality was founded in 2006 by a few friends and family that came from a once great game, Ryzom. We had around 10 players and only five were active day to day during the time of the Burning Crusades. After the release of Lich King we have currently expanded into a guild with over 50 players... and growing. With us, real life comes first. We are not a hard-core raiding guild. We are not about drama or politics. Our name says it all. Warcraft is a temporary escape from the realities and stress of the real world.

We run at our players' convenience. Our guild is made up of mostly adults... both men and women as well as a few married couples and families. We have a great group of guildies and we are still adding members regularly. We play casually. Regular raid attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory. All we really ask of our guild members is to have fun, be mature & respectful, help each other when possible, and to work as a team. We try our best to be a "tight-knit" guild and help each other out whether it be dungeons, raids, quests, farming, or professions.

As of May 2010 we had to take a look at our structure and scheduling. Due to the growth of the guild and conflicting schedules, we have 2 seperate 10 man runs a week in ICC10... usually ran 2-3 times a week. Players have the option of participating in either of the raids weekly. On days we aren't raiding ICC we run old-world content or go for various achievements. We also run the weekly frost run atleast twice a week. The reason for multiple raids is to ensure that the maximum amount of players get to see content and earn their frost badges regularly. We really try hard not to leave anyone out, however, we do have qualifications for the core ICC raiding team. Northrend content is ran mostly on 10 player mode while the rest of everything else is open to all difficulties.
