Escaping Reality was founded in late 2007 by a few friends and family that came from a once great game, Ryzom. We had around 10 players and only five were active day to day during the time of the Burning Crusades. After the release of Lich King we started recruiting. We came close to becoming a 25 man guild but after having growing pains and seeing the problems that could arise, we decided to stay a 10 man raiding guild. Currently, our guild has around 30 players and we are looking to expand our raid teams. With us, real life comes first. We are not a hard-core raiding guild. We are not about drama or politics. Our name says it all. Warcraft is a temporary escape from the realities and stress of the real world.

ER has been around longer than almost all of the guilds on the Norgannon server. We are well established and we've been around for almost as long as the server has been live. We are made up of mostly adults ranging 30-55 years old... both men and women as well as a few married couples. We are a family friendly guild that shys away from the elitist attitude that a lot of the established guilds have. All we really ask of our guild members is to have fun, be mature & respectful, and to work as a team. We don't solely concentrate on raiding. We enjoy many different things in the game including achievements, farming, questing, mount & pet collecting, professions, as well as running heroics and raiding. We are one of the top guilds on the server for guild achievements. Our guild is full of helpful people. This is a guild that gives back to its members.

Finally, this is a raiding guild... the majority of our members raid. However, you probably won't find us in the top 20 of raid progression guilds. We play casually. We try our best to get everyone who wants to raid a chance to go. We raid several times a week depending on participation. Regular raid attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory. Most of our raids are ran on week nights. Our main raiding nights have been Wednesday & Thursday nights. We also have been known to hold raids every other night of the week though. Times are almost always 8:30-10:00pm EST. We may run two different raids in the same dungeon having two groups progressing within the week. Players have the option of participating in either of the raids weekly. The reason for multiple raids is to ensure that the maximum amount of players get to see content. Weekly raid quests are done on Tuesday. Guild achievements are ran on Sunday.

We really try hard not to leave anyone out, however, we do have qualifications for our core raiding team (Voyagers). Voyagers work on most, if not all of our progression & end-game raids. Progression content is ran mostly on 10 player mode while the rest of everything else is open to all difficulties.
